<p>What are the word limits for the long essay and the short essays?</p>
<p>If you start working on part2 of the application and you go to the page that has the spot to enter in the essays, it'll tell you some number of characters are allowed. It was plenty of space for me.</p>
<p>Can you give a ballpark range on word limit? Is the space provided for a single or double-spaced essay?</p>
<p>single spaced. the website doesn't really allow for formatting..you can't even tab in a new paragraph.
it's 4800 for the long and 1400-1600 for the shorts (depends on the essay)</p>
<p>Based on the character limits of 1500-1600 for the short essays all of mine ended up around 260-270 words. The long one can be pretty long. Mine was 580, but that was only about 3000 characters out of 4800.</p>
<p>My long essay was 736 words (3914 characters + spaces)
My short essays were around 270 words as well.</p>
