is cornell really strict on the "500 word limit" mine right now is 780, but its pretty good and can;t really be cut down without losing meaning

I was in the same boat: my essay was about 200 words over, and I didn't feel like I could cut anything. The essay I ultimately submitted was exactly 500 words long.

Trust me, you can cut it down.

can i pm it over to you? im trying to find some qualified editors...

Yeah, sure, but I'm pretty tough.

alright, sent it-thanks a lot in advance

What school are you applying to? What's the topic? And you can send it to me; I'm a pretty good editor and I wouldn't mind.

i love editing papers. seriously. you can pm it to me, if you'd like!

going Ilr Ed, and here i ll send it over

it's june...and youve already written your essay

props...i guess

so-going over 500 doesnt really matter if its pretty consise?

I don't think you'll be helping yourself by being more than 50 words over. I can give you a better opinion if you pm me your essay. I already got in for next year so you don't have to worry about me stealing your essay or anything.

if it's over by like 50 words, no.

over by 280 words, though? yeah, definitely; and your essay isn't very concise anyways

I'll have revisions / suggestions by tomorrow (I graduated today so lots of related goings-on)

alright thanks-any suggestions to help get this bad boy cut down are great at this point
