<p>The essay i'm writing is specifically for NYU and the essay topic was:</p>
<p>The best writing is often very personal. All kinds of experiences-serious, funny, unexplained, fleeting-can influence our lives and help make us who we are. Tell us about a person, place, or event in your life that has particular meaning for you, and why it is important to you. We'd especially like to hear about someone or something that has affected your life that may not have affected or even been noticed by other people.</p>
<p>I wrote the majority of the essay already on football and how going the extra mile developed a lot of character. I'm aware that what i'm writing about doesn't necessarily fit the topic but NYU says to choose to write about whatever you want if a topic doesn't satisfy you. I'm worried that this topic is a bit to generic and it feels like this essay could have been written by almost any football player from any school. </p>
<p>would any of you be able to look it over and give me your thoughts? getting into NYU is pretty huge for me.</p>
