Essay Question

So, I've started writing an essay... the theoretical purpose is that it could be used as a college app essay in the near future.

Currently, I find that it really shows a lot of my personality (while also highlighting one of my ECs), however I am concerned that certain aspects of it show some of my flaws. Are colleges looking more for people who are willing to toot their own horn? Or do they like people who can recognize some weakness.

Being an Admissions Counselor myself, I can honestly say that reading an essay that states your strengths and weaknesses is more appealing than reading an essay that states how great you are.
Being honest and being yourself is much more benificial in the long run and it will prove to us that you are not afraid to confront your weaknesses.
Definately don't just go on and on about how great you are at ex: football.
Tell us that and MORE!

Thank you.
