Ok, I know I have to write the common application essay.
Now, as for the supplement essays.. I know I have to write the essay that pertains to the certain school I wanna get in (ex. College of Arts and Sciences).
And then I write one of the other 'funner' essays as my second supplement essay.

So, that is three essays, right? I'm sorry, but I don't want to be missing an essay somewhere, though I feel like I am..

I kind of want to do the 'favorite word' essay, too. But I'm thinking that everyone does that essay..

If I recall correctly, yes, there were three essays that went into the UVa application.

Sure, a lot of people do do the ‘favorite word’ essay, but that shouldn’t stop you! I had a lot of fun with mine and I think it turned out to be one of my best ones because of that. I’ve also heard what some other accepted students wrote in their ‘favorite word’ essays, and if anything - there’s a lot of potential for creativity in this topic! My bet is that it was a pretty enjoyable essays to write for a lot of people, and when you enjoy what you’re writing it may very likely mean that the admissions people will also enjoy reading it.
