Essay(S)<---

how many essays/short responses does everyone here have to write for their applications? I'm just starting to carefully look at each school's supplement and almost all of them have their own essay or short answers.

For me...

Common Application Essay

Johns Hopkins: 2
Carnegie Mellon: 1
Cornell: 1 short answer
Lehigh: 2 short answer
Pittsburgh: 1
Villanova: 1
Virginia: 2 short answer
Penn: Don't know yet
Drexel: None
Penn State: 1

A lot of the questions are specific so you can't just use one essay for another. I really wasn't expecting to have to do all this writing.

Also, how many schools does everyone think they will apply to?

Well, if you can't tweak 'em, better of write a new one. :]

I'm applying to 5 UCs (I'm a California resident), 3 Privates, and 4 UK schools.

=) Luckily for me, I didn't have to tweak any of my essays all that much.

yeah i don't think that's going to be possible. a lot of the questions apply directly to the school.

not to butt in on your thread, lol...and it's technically too early for me to wonder, but...just curious-where do u find all of the supplements and stuff? online?

if you're using the common application you can get them online
