I see some of the SAT scores posted on this site, and I noticed that some people have really high essay scores, but low Writing/CR scores?
I'm really not seeing how thats possible, writing coherently, but being unable to catch an error?

Anyway, for those of you with high essay scores (CC standards, haha),how do you do it? Where do you take your examples from? How do you start off? And do you utilize difficult vocabulary terms in your essay?

I got an 11 on my essay and -1 on the multiple choice... I wonder about that too. The essay is all subjective since the readers don't know you. I didn't use any big vocab words at all, my writing is barely legible, and I thought my examples were just okay. I think it's just about how different your perspectives are and how you tie them together. It's holistic, so it's just about not over-doing it or trying to be someone you're not. Just leave a minute to proof-read and try to fill up most of the page would be my advice.
