My college essay is in the very early stages... I just started to think about it today.

I was wondering if it would sound stupid if I wrote about my regrets of not continuing my violin playing, Gaelic football participation, and my lack of courage to start a kiva club that would raise money for third world entrepanuers through micro-lending until late in my junior year. I think that it would tell a lot about me and who I am but then again... What do I know? I was just curious if anyone had any sort of input?

No, it’s really negative. Showing that you have too many regrets/lack courage is not something you’d want to announce to colleges. If you’re gonna write an essay, write something that exemplifies your accomplishments/positive attributes.

If you can write about one regret (not all three, chose one) and talk about how it has made you a better person/impacted you to think differently/has shaped your future for the better, then that essay would be worth sending.

If you have more questions, feel free to pm me. Best of luck.
