<p>How rigid are the essay word limits? I was writing my essay for Taft, and even after condensing my essay as much as possible, it was more than the suggested word limit. I tried pasting my essay into the response box, and it worked. I am just afraid that my essay will lose effect if I shorten it further, but at the same time I don't want it to reflect badly on me if I go over the word limit.</p>
<p>how much over? if it’s an essay with a limit of 400 and you’re at 407 i think they’ll let it slide… then again, i’d try my very best to condense it to the very shortest possible. get another pair of eyes to read it for you, i’m sure they can point out something redundant.</p>
<p>they do not count the words unless its like over 200 words, they dont have the time to be counting words. they are looking at the essay not how many words it has in it unless its eccessivly over</p>
<p>if you’re doing it online, then you can’t type over the word limit anyways…</p>
