Essay--writer's block

I only have enough material to write about 2/3rd of a page for my “Why Penn?” essay. This pretty much sucks, and I’m trying hard to think of things to write about, but have only the very mundane things to mention: diversity, opportunity, city. This sucks.

Any replies would be greatly appreciated.

Diversity, city, opportunity. It's not what you say, it's how you say it!

lol
i basically have 2/3 of a page (555 words)

My "Why Penn?" essay is a compact 255 words. I say what I need to say.

jpps1- that sounds risky. Are you saying enough about yourself?

I don't think there's anything particularly risky. They're reading 15,000 applications, and I say enough about myself in the autobiography essay. No need to write some BS to fill space and waste their time. I get to the point.

My why Penn was pretty short too- but then I had one other idea and added about 300 words on that.

I think the Why Penn essay is okay- my personal essay is the really good one.

I think the why penn essay is just a harder essay to write, because it's hard to say why without sounding boring and identical to everyone else. The personal essay though has a lot more creativity already built in. :)

Ah.. I feel much better now! My essay is turning out to be rather mundane.. I mean, what do they expect? It's more informative than creative really.. by the way, my application is due in less than 6 hours now.. gotta finish up!

krabble, that is what makes the essay so hard, combining the two...informative and creative.
