ESSAy

what schools are u applying to??

right now im just worried about the nyu online application one. The other is stony brook, not worried about that because it said write a page or two.

really, you shouldn't go more than 10% over the limit. You're safer cutting it down to 550 if at all possible.

and by the way. didn't you ask this same question like... this morning?

yes, but if i cut it down, its really gonna hurt the quality of the essay... HELPPP could u perhaps read it and critique it for me?

o, im getting worried right now if im going to have to cut out a whole paragraph and 1/2 of stuff, especially that its only 3 hours till midnight.

I KNOWWWWWWWWWW. i havne't even done the supplement to NYU yet. im still wokring on my common app essayy
AH

Wait, what supplement, like the short answer question ones of "what did you do last sunday" and stuff? Ahhhh what to do

Yes, Those. Yikes!

Bump. I Can't Cut It Down Anymore!!!!!! Help!!!!!

ahhh crap, im so screwed all i can say is, lol. This is not good, i just checked nyit's essay req. and it says 300-350 words... mine was 600+. Im sooo dead right now, im not used to writing essays so short as 300 words. And i assumed that that was the minimum. DAHHhhhh...

lol holy crap. im 122 words over.. dood, wanna help each other out?

sure, looks like were the only ones having this problem, i feel so dumb lol.

lol do u have aim?? that might be easier to talk on

ahh yes i remember the one my friend gave me back in 5th grade.

c0w of darkness
0 = zero

wow, calm down. You can send it to me if you want, I'll look over it.

If it is for the common app, you can go over. The point is to write a good essay. Make sure that you are not repetitive at any point. Don't cut stuff for the sake of cutting or weaken your essay. But at the same time, make sure that you are succinct. 622 is not that long.

oh my god

marry me now grits

Admissions officers do not count words, nor would they reject someone just because their essay is over the limit, unless it is something grotesquely over it, like 2000 words.

You guys are just paranoid. Relax. If your essay is good - it's good. Don't change it.
