Has anyone used an online editing service for their college application essays & how'd it work out for you? I'm wondering if it'd be worth the money.

y would someone use those, those editors dont know you, and colleges look for personality in essays

thus.........its pointless, dont waste ur $

its not worth the money...

actually...it depends...

i sent my essay into essayedge. i had a solid essay to begin with, and i still expected huge amounts of change.

in the end, i paid about 80 bucks for someone to read over my essay and only offer suggestions about punctuationg. she did make changes that made my essay more verbose. so i just ignored her.

however, it's probably better to get somebody to edit your essay - someone that knows not only english well, but you as a person well. make sure your real voice comes through.

but if you're a poor writer, maybe you should check it out. if not, dont waste your time and money.

it's a good safety net if your not a stellar writer and have the money... I've used essayedge on a few essays and I think they added some great things to my essays I would never of thought of...

Useless. Just ask someone from the CC community to read your essay.

its ridiculous how kids use essayedge to add ideas to their essays

a kid who gets an idea by paying money should have no priority over a kid who does his the old fashioned way
