Essays & Fin Aid *urgent*

Hey y'all !

I want to send my stuff by today and post office closes in a few hours - thus it's kinda urgent.

1) Do you guys put your names under your essays ? I'm a bit worried that they could get lost, considering that 900 Apps with 1800 essays are flying around in Princeton (I'm sending it all together).

2) The Princeton Fin Aid forms ask you, how much your parents are willing to pay for college in the next year ? Now, my parents are willing to pay everything, but they would be happier if they don't have to. The Princeton book says that our income group receives ~ 20 - 30k of fin aid ? Thus, what should I put. My father don't want to look as if he could not afford it, but we don't want to spoil our chances for fin aid. Any recs ?

Thx, David

I would put your name and SSN on the top of each page of your essay. Guarantees it wont get lost.

The FAQ says that it has very little bearing on your end results, so put the actual amount they would hope to pay. I had trouble with that too.

1) Yeah that's sort of what I actually did. Don't have a SSN (I'm an international) but put my name and birthdate on it.

2) Thanks for the advice. Gonna tell my father...
