Now that i've entered in my essays, it displays the essay as being only on one page of the application. Does this satisfy the requirement for the response being under a page? Or should it be less than a page in a Word document with 1" margins and 12pt Times Roman font?

For question #7?

Yeah. That and the admissions office said try to keep the others no more than a page and a half. But is that page limit how it appears online?

You know for that one, I had roughly a page with normal page setup and I applied on paper ... I would assume that if your essay shows as 1 page on the online application then it's okay.

Yeah I was worried mine were too long, but they show up as about a half a page. The only other concern is that certain characters (apostrophe and quotations) show up as wierd characters (' = trademark symbol and " - fl), will it show up this way to the adcom? I figure they'll be able to figure out what I mean, so i'm not stressing too much

We have a nifty feature that shrinks the font if you write a super long essay.

While this gets your entire essay on a page, I have to tell you that this causes some trouble for a few people in our office. Imagine reading 8 pt. font for 8-10 hours each day. It's brutal.

It's in your best interest to keep it short and simple.
