Do the english classes teach you how to write essays or do they expect you to be great writers?
Because right now, I'm writing horrible essays, I'm not sure if it's because I'm not trying or because I'm a bad writer.

It depends on what English class you’re in. If you’re in a remedial class, then yes, they teach you how to write essays. If you’re in a regular college class, then they expect you to know how to write by now. If you need assistance with writing, I’m sure there’s an on campus tutoring place where you can get an English tutor.

If you really suck then find someone to write the essays for you. I GUARANTEE you that there are people who will for the right price. LOL, I offer to write people’s essays and the price simply varies.

Any college that expects you to be able to write top notch, college-level papers upon entrance is kidding itself. One of the first things they told us at my college was that no incoming freshmen know how to write a real college paper, and that gaining the skills to be able to do so is a process. Most colleges offer some form of assistance for writing.

This isn’t true for every university, but most have some sort of “Academic Writing” course in which freshman generally enroll.
