The open-ended essay for Georgetown is really messing me up:

Write an essay that you feel best describes you

I am recycling/reworking most of my essays from other universities but I can't seem to find one that fits. The whole thing about "best describing" me is so vague and I feel lost. I had a setback essay, and one about diversity but I'm not sure that either best describes me. Now I'm thinking I might write about where I'm from (IOWA) and how it's shaped who I am but I'm not really sure.... any kind of help or ideas would be appreciated!!!

i have a setback essay that i thikn im gonna use for that one... im not sure how well it describes me but i think my essay is pretty solid so im just gonna reuse it anyway. dunno if that helps but just what im doing
do you know what the word count should be for it though? i agree it is reallyy vague

Guys you're stressing too much about this. Describe yourself. Describe a specific experience you had that shows a particular quality. Explain why you love.... something. Most importantly, make sure YOU shine through it.

Also, it's vague for a reason. they want to see what you'll do with it. btw they'll know if you're recycling an essay that had a very specific question. not that you can't recycle, i did.
