Ethnicity and Race

Ok well I am Hispanic(Mexico) and that's what I marked on the common app and all my SATs/ACTs etc.. However I just noticed my school has me marked down as white and no ethnicity. I've already submitted some of my apps and now I'm worried that they will deny me because they think that I'm not telling the truth. I know that my high school guidance counselor has to enter some info in to the common app for me. Does any of that include ethnicity? Or do colleges only rely on my response in common app and standardized testing. Thanks

tell ur school to change it? dont you take a survey every year or something. i dont think they will think you are lying, but ask your counselor to change it for good measure

Race = white unless you have a Native American background and/or an African background, which many Hispanics do.

Your answer matters more than the school. If they see a conflict, they will take your word.
