Eureka! Why didn't I "discover" these products sooner?!

How much vinegar do you add to,each wash load?

For towels, I’ve been told to add vinegar sometimes and baking soda other times.

I put vinegar up to the max line in the fabric softener section of my front loader and it dispenses during the last rinse cycle. Seems to be enough. I don’t put vinegar in the bleach section, because it will go in during the wash cycle.

I also use vinegar in the rinse aid section of the dishwasher.

My favorite towels are Yves Delorme. I buy their towel wash liquid and it is amazing. You only need a quarter of a cup per load (no detergent or fabric softener) and these towels which are almost 8 years old are, honestly, just like brand new.

Here are a few more favorites!

Williams-Sonoma Goldtouch pans. I use the nonstick mini loaf pan, set of 4, with the “Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread” recipe from the AllRecipes site (I don’t use only white sugar…I do a white/brown sugar split and use less oil as others suggested in the reviews. Oh, and add dark chocolate chips!)

Is it weird to love your spatula?

And I’ll just throw in my fave bag clips while I’m at it. (not for those with weak hand strength…but keeps the contents fresh…comes in different lengths)

Speaking of kitchen gadgets, I love my Bamix immersion blender! So easy to use and to clean, too.

I have two Pampered Chef narrow spatulas - use almost every day it seems.

@88jm19 - That is my “go to” pumpkin bread recipe as well, doing the 1/2 brown and 1/2 white sugar. Everyone loves it, even those people who thought they didn’t like pumpkin bread.

Pampered Chef has a wonderful egg slicer. Got it in 1994 from my mom when she saw the decrepit one I had (she came as we had our first child). Is just like new - made to last!

Looked up the egg slicer. Never thought of using one to slice strawberries let alone bananas, mushrooms, avocados, soft fruit like peaches and pears, olives, fresh mozzarella, butter and of course hot dogs! Nice.

Waiting for some of you who ordered “Baby Foot” to give your personal reviews.

I sold Pampered Chef products for years and stayed in it a few years too long, just to get the products at a huge discount! I still use most of the items I acquired but some of my favorites are my baking stones, the zyliss food chopper, the garlic press, the ice cream scoop and the garnisher - http://www.amazon.com/Pampered-Chef-Garnisher-w-Sleeve/dp/B0014LLVK2 Pampered Chef bought many products from Zyliss, and every one of their items that I’ve tried has been a winner.

Speaking of winners… Yesterday I got my e-cloths in the mail that several people mentioned upthread. I bought the manufactures deal of one pack for $6.98 (?) shipping included. These things are great! No streaking!!!

So I went out and got some yellow Awesome cleaner from the Dollar store. Got a few extra to give to friends if it worked.

We have white tile with white grout In every bathroom in this house thanks to Pulte builders ( late 1990s). It was looking pretty nasty. 2 kids, two dogs, sports and red clay dirt,

So I grabbed a spray bottle and hit one area around the toilet. Waited 10 to 15 minutes scrubbed and …nothing.

Rats.

Sprayed some more and went downstairs and promptly forgot about if for 4 hours.

Went up for bed, walked into the bathroom and…EUREKA! It’s a MIRACLE!

WHITE TILE…WHITE GROUT!

:)) :open_mouth: ^:)^

I am bookmarking all these items and shopping for the holidays. What fun!

Re Awesome: its pretty caustic smelling. I recommend pouring a thin stream rather than spraying to keep down on the particulates in the air. Also use your exhaust fan or open a window.

Off to the Dollar Tree today to buy some Awesome! @oldfort, my kids bought me a ceramic Yoshi blade for Christmas a few years ago as a joke because it came in cheesy “as seen on TV” packaging. It’s our favorite knife and I use it every day. http://www.amazon.com/YoshiBlade-IV_YB_BLST_R4-Yoshi-BladeTM/dp/B003XR8MDO

I’m chuckling at the vinegar in the laundry solution. My mom, the German farm girl, was doing this 50 years ago. Still does it today. I buy the white vinegar in Costco quantities. When the kids came home with their college laundry I’d run it all through a vinegar rinse cycle before even attempting to wash it with detergent. The machines in the dorms are not very good. It’s surprising to see a load go through the front loader with NO added detergent and yet see a large amount of soap suds and scum. Vinegar is great!

One of my favorite kitchen gadgets. A no fuss way to get perfect, easy-to-peel eggs every time. Makes it convenient to add cheap, delicious and necessary protein to my diet.

When I helped set up DD2’s apt with her yesterday (she asked me to help), I was taking out all the Pampered Chef stuff out of its packaging. I was slowly over the last couple of years buying things like the spatulas, the covered stone microwave friendly cooker, egg slicer, etc. Everything that I consider handy to have. Then went to the grocery store to stock her up a bit, and got two of the Stouffer’s frozen dinners that fit in the covered stone cooker (instructions on food packaging for microwave). The food (lasagna, mac and cheese) come out of the stone dish like it was regular oven baked. Use with single dinners too. Use the covered stone dish all the time - you can de-thaw meat, cook chicken w/o it getting rubbery, I make a nice pork roast in it. When the kids are home it is heavily used each week. Also gave the girls the accompanying cook book. I use the stone pizza plate in the regular oven with frozen or fresh take home to bake pizza. Does a great job. However H and I are ‘dieting’ - just buy the pizza bread and pizzas when kids are home. Sometimes you can find a stone pizza plate cheaper elsewhere. Have given a lot of Pampered Chef to MIL over the years too.

One of my favorite kitchen gadgets is a Zak Designs E-Z-Rol Garlic Peeler which is about $5. You pop the garlic bulb in the tube, roll it around a bit and presto! The skin is off.
