I was looking at the following schools:
University of Maryland at College Park
Penn State
University of Pittsburgh
Rutgers
University of Delaware
University of Connecticut
Georgia Tech
Carnegie Mellon University(Really just a school to apply to and see what happens, I understand I have a near 0% chance of acceptance.)
Temple University

Please tell me my chances at these schools if possible. :)

Also, I was wondering how colleges would interpret my failure of a course in my freshman year and then getting
a 98% in it in my 10th grade year.

If you need any more information, please post.

Thanks a lot for your help!

If anyone could please evaluate you this for me, I would greatly appreciate it.

For one, I would suggest that you took the SAT over again or possibly take the ACT. Test scores aren't the end of the world, but if you can take them again I would suggest that you do so.

For geometry - I think if you explained your situation and how you overcame that situation to do well the next year it could work out just fine. In the additional comment section or during an interview make sure to mention and explain it. Also, at some colleges they don't look too harshly at freshman year because it is sort of a transition year for many students.

it seems like you have one space left in your senior schedule for another class. your senior schedule should be the filled with the most rigorous classes. well, you don't have to if you can't. but it would only help you.

and oh yea, you don't have a 0% chance of acceptance at carnegie mellon. you have a good shot at all the schools you are applying. good luck.

Thanks to everyone who replied. Does anyone else have any comments on my record and the schools I am interested in?

Thanks again for the help

If anyone could respond, I would appreciate it.

retake tests
and

whats with ur school???

some of ur honors classes seem like jokes
like
Honors Algebra 2
Honors geometry
Honors Afro-Asian Cultures
and honors spanish 3

i wouldnt think they would have honors for classes like algebra and geomatry cause they are basic level math classes

but yeah
raise ur test scores and i think u might have a decent shot at quite a few of those schools on ur list

The honors classes I list for my school are more rigorous than the standard class. It also counts for a higher GPA on a weighted scale.

The schools I would especially like to know my chances with my current stats on a safety/match/reach/impossible scale are:

University of Maryland at College Park
University of Pittsburgh
Rutgers
Georgia Tech

Keep in mind I reside in PA and I am a white male.

Thanks again!

Ok you wanted me to let you know based on your scores and im giving you this info having done research and living in maryland

Georgia Tech: Reach
Rutgers: Reach
Pitt: Match
University of maryland at college park (woot woot)- mid Reach

no i understand that
justthat at most schools (or at least the ones here in california) they dont have honors for basic classes required to graduate except english and sciences...Like
for math
we have honors pre calc and ap calc n stuff
but no honors algebra 2... (its required to pass if u wanna graduate at my school)

and anyway
raise ur test scores by 30 sum points and u could start applying to many other good schools...

i would say rutgers is a match if u were in state but ur not

pitt is a match though

If I applied to University of Maryland on ED, how much would that have influenced my chances?
