An interesting article.

I'll admit, I freak out about the college process oh...3-5 times a week, sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night and realize that the fat Acceptance-Letter from Harvard (or Princeton...or Stanford...Or Yale...Or Duke...its a reoccuring dream) I received in the mail had, in fact, turned out to be my pillow.

It's important to take a step back and realize that if you keep up the work you've been putting in for the short while you've (myself included) been alive, you're going to do as well as you hope to do in the future. It's you, not the college.

It also surprises me that College Confidential doesn't have this message somewhere on their site, or if they do it should be more accessible. Nobody should be downfallen if they don't get into their top schools and end up going to a safety, the admission process is completely out of our hands and absolutely arbitrary in many regards - this message needs to be reitarated for the majority of neurotic overachievers who check this site everyday (I'm not exempt :/). Keep up the good work, it'll pay off later in life.
