Just copying and pasting some things from my original chances thread.

I am Nigerian/American so I am fluent is Yoruba and English. I live in a poverty town and a high crime rate town in New Jersey. I am in a top honors class. The highest class there is is an Algebra 1 class which is what I am in. I have also been told that I am the top student in my school and had the highest NJASK 7th grade scores in our school. I am applying to Peddie School, Lawrenceville School, Blair Academy, Hun school of Princeton, and Pennington School. My dream school is Peddie and has been researching on the school for about 3 years.

I am in the Student Ambassadors program and planning on going to China this year. I was also in The NJIT talent search and studied in the Medical Science criteria. In 5th grade I was in college for kids at essex county college and studied different college courses.

( I was in the Wight Foundation but later got rejected) definitely not putting that in the application. But I am now in another boarding school program called A Better Chance.

Some more statistics
- Music (Clarinet) for about 7 years
- Dance. I did ballet and modern dance for about 3 years
- Gymnastics. Did that for 10 years.
- Cheerleading. It's an after school activity did it about 4 years. Only all minority cheer squad travel at cheer competitions around New Jersey. Also has been a captain for 3 years and been an undefeated individual champion for 3 years. I got moves lol
- Girl Scouts. Been for 6 years and very involved with my community and helping the needy.
- In student council.
- Overall achiever.
- Does TAEBO. I love to exercise lol.
- Love to travel.
- Got letters from Marylawn School of Oranges and Oak Knoll school in Summit. Private schools I guess that are interested in me. Probably something to fall back on if not accepted in boarding school.

I really want to do Tennis and Field Hockey. Also get into the acting area and do performing arts.

SSAT scores
85% Verbal
80% Math

Recommendations and Interviews:
Excellent recommendations from all teachers, coaches, and tutors.
Excellent interviews so far. Andover, Exeter, Deerfield, Concord, Milton, and St. Mark’s were all on-campus with an adcom; St. Paul’s (soon Groton) by phone with an adcom. St. Mark’s, Exeter, and Concord were definitely were and I think Andover, Milton, and St. Paul’s with the Director of Admission. All were excellent; Andover, Milton, and St. Mark’s went exceptionally well.
It doesn't really matter, I know, but my aunt attended Milton and my uncle attended Concord.

wow, prettyckitty, you're applying to a lot of schools. my stats are probably lower than yours so i'm thinking maybe i should have applied to more schools and maybe a few reaches but i think its tooo late. for extracurriculars I attended at three week boarding camp at ASU. (north carolina) just to get used to boarding life but I didn't bother to note it on my apllications.

I dont know why I am applying to mostly nj schools. I am applying to mercersburg and Hun though. Just when I made the original post, i didnt really bother to look at out of state schools.

Eight schools is A LOT of schools, but I guess it just increases your chances of getting in somewhere, but I'm sure you'll get into most of them. Your stats are amazing.

If I were applying to boarding school, I would apply to five schools max.

Eight schools was a lot, but I simply couldn't get rid of any. :D I like them all. Plus, it does increase my chances a little, just because of the numbers game.
10 March is way too far away. 56 more days.

Yes, I'm keeping count. I don't have it written down, I just tend to remember. If I can't, I just add up the days (28 of Feb+10 of March+18 of Jan=56--at the end of today). I don't really have a solid first choice (not like Chaos and Exeter :)) but probably Andover. If I got into, say, Andover and Exeter, though, I would have trouble deciding.
