<p>deathlyhollows - good call on rice/baylor being as competitive as brown. they tend to very much prefer in-state apps, i don't know how that would work out for you.</p>
<p>keep in mind that EVERYONE has those scores, and they're all intense premeds.
your individuality and attractiveness as a candidate should shine through in your essays.</p>
<p>if you're absolutely bent on a combined bs/md, check out the aamc's webpage. . i think there are about 40 total combined programs in the us, and several of them will probably have kinder admit rates than the programs you're talking about.</p>
<p>again, as the asian poster mentioned, a lot of things come into play, race being one of them, another important one being where you are. there are, more often than not, geographical quotas for diversity.</p>
