<p>Putting things in the wall is generally okay as long as you don’t leave a lot of damage behind (I think they look for holes larger than the size of a dime or something).</p>

This thread is really old but I have a couple questions. First, how large is the typical single room, i.e. is there room to have additional seat, etc.? Also, is the first floor truly the first floor? I’ve heard that it’s actually a basement level.
