Hello,
I'm a Biochem Major at UCLA. Biochem does not require that I take Life Science 1, and I have been told that by completing LS2, 3, and 4 I will satisfy the medical school requirement for one year of biology. I'm currently enrolled in LS1 for the fall, but I would rather not take the course if I do not have too. I just wanted to know if anyone knew if evolution would be covered on the MCAT.

As a UCLA grad, I can say that you don’t need to bother with LS1 if your major doesn’t require it - what a useless class. Don’t remember much about LS2 or 3, but I remember not liking LS4 much either.
As for the MCAT, of course evolution is fair game - but you dont’ need a whole class if you’re just worried about that one topic. You’ll review it when you’re studying for the test anyway. I maintain that if you don’t have to take LS1, don’t.

On the other hand, you could have Greg Graffin as your professor if you take LS1 (if he’s still teaching)
