Evolutionism vs. Creationism

lol Sigh. I like this one:

ARGUMENT FROM LONELINESS
(1) Christians say that Jesus is their best friend.
(2) I'm lonely, and I want a best friend.
(3) Therefore, God exists.

oops, wrong thread

(1)yeah; off course the site promotes atheism...
(2)Athiests are ignorant; and will believe anything they're told.
(3)Therefore, God exists.

so what's that? "ARGUMENT FROM INTELLIGENCE (III)"?

We can all see where this is going...how about we stop? :/

Right, I was going to stop posting...I'm out.

Co

Sempie555 was suspended from CC
God wants him to "keep trying"
Therefore, God exists.

No!? Why!?

Lets just take God out of the equation OK? Ever heard of the Epicuran hypothesis? Randomn particles colliding by coincidence and then evolution took place on Earth. Stop looking for an originator and consider this; may be the universe was always there.

Please let this thread die.

No. All matter is temporal. It must have a beginning and an end.

The evidence that has been found supports that it was created by something physical. Evolution. If you believe that there is a God, okay, but that still doesn't explain why organisms change. If God had created us, why did he not create us perfectly? Why did we have to change? There is so much evidence out there supporting evolution, and while I realize that the it can't really disprove creationism, what proof is there for creationism?

God is the Alpha and Omega; beggining and end. Is it possible that someone created God? Then something bigger is there; or it's just God. We think of ourselves as the most supreme beings; but are we?

Aren't there theories of how the universe will end; either it's expanding so fast that gravity will never catch on therefore it won't end. 2. The universe is expanding; however, it will come to a stop and start contracting, 3. The Universe is already starting to contract.

I thought this was interesting and off topic; I figured so many of you are super intelligent beings that can hopefully explain all this bogus; and how we came on to such theories.

God created us perfectly, by sin; we made our selves what we are today. I remembered reading somewhere in the book of Genesis; where God says something about us knowing the difference between good and evil and that's why Adam and Eve were expulsed from Eden; because they knew of good and evil

So if we are here because of evolution; then is God a product of something far beyond our understanding? Like some type of evolution????Either way; creationism is still the source.

Luwain,
Your idea of evolution is faulty. Answering why organisms would change is easy, random mutations and natural selection. Evolution does not create matter or life.

The evidence for creationism will not be physical... one argument for creationism is the one I hinted at above: matter is temporal. Everything has a cause, one thing comes from another comes from another comes from another... there's an infinite regress until you get to to what is God - the First Cause. There's no use asking who made God or what was before. The whole point is that God was not made, God Is, out of philosophical necessity.

"because without this irrational assumption, the argument has no support"

Marijuana is illegal.

Therefore, Marijuana is bad.
