Do all the Ivies notify online or do some snail mail decisions?

Yale first... might as well start the cry-fest with the big one

Seriously, what order will ya'll check in? I'm going to spend 900 years deciding that and then on the day of complete forget what order I chose (not like it really matters) and go crazy.

i'm doing yale first just to get it out of the way (no chance), then cornell (best chance), and rounding it off with brown (first choice).

buuuuuuuuuuuuuut i guarantee that all the sites will be so backed up that i'll just end up going for whichever works first.

oh crap. backing up sucks. i'll probably wait until like 8 bc i'll forget and be watching tv or eating or something.

Yale (No chance)
Harvard ( No way)
Princeton ( I should have done ED!! oh well no way)
Penn (I better get in) TOOOOOOOOOOO much rejection
Columbia ( Who knows)
Cornell ( CAS I hope I am in)
UVA ( I will celebrate )
John Hopkins ( In )

So is March 29th a sure thing for all Ivies?

I never thought of having an order to pick in. Maybe I'll get my mom's laptop and access Brown through mine and Yale through her's at the same time. I'll probably do Yale first because I know that I don't have a shot in hell, and Brown second because I realllllly wanna go there. It'll probably take me about an hour to convince myself to click the button though. After the rejection in the early decision round, I'm not so keen on clicking the button any sooner than I have to.

really? i will click the button by accident probably before i am ready and because my computer is so fast ill be disappointed before i understand why i'm disappointed. :-/

hmmm, I've never really thought of the order. I guess I'll go to all 3 websites in seperate windows and wait for each one to load or something like that.

For Dartmouth, there was a "Access Decision" button from the main page after you logged in. I hope it's that way for Yale too, because if immediately pops up once I log in, I'm not going to be ready. lol

This is a hard decision... Do I want to start off with the one that I have a great chance on or leave that till the end?

cowtipper - for SCEA, I logged on to my Eli account and immediately saw a blue screen that said "Congratulations Class of 2011". Then there was a link to click to and it had the official letter. I would imagine (although I don't really know) that if you were not accepted, it would take you directly to the letter.

Looking back at last year's decision threads for several Ivies reveals that they do in fact post/email the decisions on the same day. Oh boy. . .

As for the order, first come first read :)

Ugh... now, I'll just sit there for an hour or so trying to convince myself to log on. lol

This is so stressful just thinking about it! I'm going to be going 98 mph on my way home from school (well not actually) and then sit at my computer forever trying to make myself do it. Eeks!!

Well right now instead of panicking I am going to be productive because I'm off to my Yale interview. Wish me luck!

Good luck j07!

Regarding the email notifications, do any of the schools have in the caption "congratulations," so you already know before you open the email you were accepted?

Are all RD decision dates the same for all Ivys?

Brown and Yale seem to be end of March.......
Anyone knows dates for Columbia and UPenn?

Columbia is mailing RD decisions the first week of April.

I believe that all ivy league schools post decisions on the same day. I was at an info session at Penn today and one of the admissions officers said that ivy league schools agree on a date to release decisions to eliminate competition among the schools (they don't want someone getting into one school on March 25th, reserving his or her spot in the class out of excitement, then findining out he or she got into another school a few weeks later)
