Exactly how big a role do senior grades play during admissions?

My cumulative GPA excluding senior year: 3.75 (noticeable upward trend)

As a senior, I extremely slacked my first semester-it is probably the most prominent drop. Here are the classes with the corresponding grades.

Pottery C
AP Physics B C+
AP Biology B+
Sociology A
Pre-Calculus A
AP Language B

Question. Will these grades become the reason I become rejected from such schools?
University of Pittsburgh
University of Wisconsin
University of Washington
Northeastern University

Question. How lenient are MOST colleges with senior year grades?

The most important grades are the Jr year grades plus the Sr first semester, for most colleges. You are looking at public schools which I guess are going to be numbers driven. Go to collegeboard.com and see how you stack up with the average of admitted student grade midpoints.

I would have avoided the C’s, but that’s hindsight now.
