Might need lots of experimenting. ;) Just don't forget to send a few to Jamz. Sure wish I could find that address for my poor little cadet who may not get any of these cookies. :D

Well, after having been "forbidden" to send such goodies because of the impending PRT, these would be an excellent addition to a "post-PRT" care package! I thank you and the mids in Company 10 thank you! Looks like I will have to make a few batches, as well, of course, as the experimental ones. :)

momof1 - experimentations have gone well. Although the first test batch was declared too hot to cut & package straight out of the oven so I'd used a spoon to eat them directly from the pan. Utter failure. Nothing was left. Second test batch was packaged & ready to set sail for USMMA and Jamz' stomach. Alas, the family incident occured and when box was found, they were consumed upon sight when I wasn't watching. Third batch seemed to go perfectly until Jamz' college buddies came over and said "Hey! What are those!?" So I couldn't send just half of the experiment. Forth batch (I can do it in my sleep now) will begin tomorrow. Will keep you informed. Good luck on your end.

Oh yeah. Forgot to tell you that in the original recipe, it says it will make 24 - 36 bars.
Forget that. It only makes 12 by my standards.
Thanks 8kidsmom! I've put on 12 pounds so far! :)

Our parents group assigns midships to each parent and they change every semester -- that way the kids get packages from someone else other than mom and dad. I made two batches of get me thru finals bars (one for my kids and I split the other batch to send to my two assigned midships. They went out over the weekend and I never ate a single one. Still loosing and happy about it.

Maybe you misunderstood the rules? I think you're supposed to send them to cadets at West Point rather than your own academy. I'll send you an address. :D
