In response to post #17: The SSAT is important, but the weight accorded standardized test scores in any admissions decision varies by school and, probably, by year to year needs & goals. My opinion is that a high SSAT will help more at the largest schools, such as Andover & Exeter, since they have to accept about three (3X) times the number--not percentage--of students than do the smallest schools, such as Groton & St. Paul's School.

Ok. Thank you icy9ff8!

At least now when I sleep, I'll feel better about my chances at Andover.

good luck with choate lalalove :)

Hey all incoming Exonians! I'm a three-year senior at Exeter, from NYC (via Rome, Paris, and a variety of other interesting places). I've had both quite good and quite bad experiences at Exeter, but three years' worth of them, so I'd love to answer questions either in email, PM, or facebook messages (link is in my profile) for those of you attending, or considering attending, Exeter in 2008. I've been lurking on these boards since I was first accepted myself, back in March of 2005, and was quite an annoying little innocent with too many questions then, so I'm glad to give back what I've learned now!

I'm really excited because I was accepted at Exeter and that's the school that I REALLY wanted to go to!!

Congrats padfoot!

12 sec...
8 sec...

I got accepted too. My SSAT was horrible though(i was very nervous while taking the test). I did have a one and half hour long interview, which probably helped in getting accepted to Exeter.

Ok, this is a really stupid question but can anyone give me the website where you can get revisit days for exeter? For some reason I can't log in.

i got into exeter last year, 99th percentile

accepted, i'm in 8th grade i took them in september and scored at 98% total and 99th% national

Tsertash2011, I was just wondering, since you brought up your SSAT score, would you mind sharing what it was? There's been an ongoing discussion on this board about the importance of SSAT scores. It would be interesting to see your stats, since obviously, both Exeter and SPS felt you worthy enough to give you full FA. Congrats by way! :D
