I'm going into 11th, hahaha :)

yeah, but thats right. I have to consider all those little things that makes the school what it is. school spirit, its size, vibes in general. its all about the vibes! hahaha :P

celestialstar- Awesomeee:)

If I saw you there, that'd be sweeet. :]

haha totally!

well, my dad's telling me to reconsider even visiting Deerfield. It's sooo far away from everything, we're finding it hard to even get there, which is actually discouraging me. We plan on staying in Boston, and then getting a train or cab to the schools. But its impossible to do so for Deerfield, since it's something around 2 hours from Boston. It seems like a 'middle of no where' school, and I feel like i'd like a bigger more 'spirited' school. What do you guys think?

Well deerfield is a spirited school. But it is in the middle of nowhere...

The kids' parents can whiz you away anywhere with their private jets. I bet DF has their own air landing field. :P

Well they had a millions fields from what I could see when I visited. Im sure the school wouldn't mind a jet being landed on one of the intramural fields.

No kidding. I actually liked DF a lot, just not enough to consider it over Milton/Andover/HK.

hahaha , well, that's definitely discouraging!

but hey, what would make me not disconsider it? Like, whats special about deerfield, that none of the other 3 schools have?

any ideas?

Yeah, I'd pick deerfield in another time .. but I'm comparing it to other great schools. Idk..

School spirit, Lax... Academics?

but Exeter, Andover and Milton also have school spirit, and GREAT academics.. and err, i dont really play lax. hahaha

Milton is like, ten miles from Boston!

So, it's definitely not in the middle of nowhere, thank goodness!

Haha, tgaspar, 11th grade? I feel so young... it seems like theres alot of people applying for 10/11 grade this year!

hahaha i know! but idk, i feel bad for rejecting a school without even seeing what its like. i might insist on going, who knows, i might fall in love with it :P

hahaha aww, but yeah. 11th grade. i feel well old, only two years to go!

I didn't apply to Milton, but I would have ruled it out immediately after learning about the 50% boarding rate. I think that would make the entire experience kind of awkward. I mean, at the end of the day half the people leave. Weekends? Half your friends have left. I don't think I can go 4 years like that.

yeah, its one of the main reasons why to disconsider it, its true.

my dad thinks i'm going to end up going to exeter or andover.
i really dont know.
like, really.

Yeah I'd go with a Phillips personally. I got Andover (waitlisted Exeter), don't know if I'm going yet though. Gotta see Choate first, since I didn't go to the first school visit.

ohh, maybe we'll go to andover together! hahaha
whats your grade?

Yeah haha, I'd be a freshman next year. :P And you?

hahaha awww. :)

i'll be a junior!

i think you should go to exeter ^^
if you're going to go in as a freshman, i'm 70% sure i'll go...
the other 20% is groton and the other 10 being milton.
