Exeter: Denied

Exeter just called my dad and told him that I didn't get in because my math scores were, to say the least, horrible. I'm not really surprised at this but it puts a real damper on such a good day.

I hope this doesn't happen at other schools. If it does I will be supremely bummed.

wait what what waht exeter can’t do that? unless ur dad was an alum?

I’m so sorry Rad!!!Why did they tell your dad pre M10

They call when it’s a sibling.

SSRS!!!
7-5-4-3-2-1dgdfhjdhdfhfghjgfjdfgsdfyhhyf

Ur math score as in ur ssat?

I’m so sorry to hear that Rad. But look at it this way, if there is a strong correlation between ssat math score and academic success (in math anyway) at Exeter, then they have done you a favor. They have been doing this for years and have a pretty good idea of what it takes. It’s a drag that it comes down to performance on one Saturday morning, though.

It’s kind of nice that they let you know why. At least you don’t have to wonder. (Trying to find the positive side here.)

what was your math score?

I know math is big at PEA. And it’s wasn’t exactly my first choice coughHAcough

Math scores as in SSAT and Academic wise.

But it’s kind of disapointing that’s all that was wrong :(

ROFL my math score for the SSAT was 45 XD that’s COMPLETELY atrocious!
I can’t really blame them lol

I’m sorry I was distracted before but that really sucks. You didn’t want to go to EXeter anyway, right? and I think Exeter is quite math heavy in comparison to the non-HADES schools you applied too. In reality it may kill your chances at SPS but personally I don’t think it’ll be really bad for the other schools. Don’t worry Rad statistically you have the best chance of all of us of getting in somewher because of the schools you applied to which I seem to recall were your first choices above HADES. Best of Luck but I truly don’t think you’ll need it to get into at least one brilliant school. You’ll be great Rad my friend :D

i’m sorry RAD, but still hope on the other schools…

‘Chin up’ is such a funny idiom :)

I know I’m not getting into Choate for the same reason. SPS I applied to because it seemed a bit more artsy idk y… but still (good point)the ones I actually wanted to got to aren’t HADES level

Lol i edited it because I thought it sounded condescending when that totally wasn’t what I was going for. Don’t worry we’ll all probably be going through this w/ at least one school on M10, at least you get extra sympathy?

IDK about statistics lol, all of your stats are absolutely AMAZING compared to mine!

If this was Taft or NMH I would be EXTREMELY depressed and I’d like wander around my house not talking and eating all the food lol

oh i’m sorry rad, i hope exeter look at the whole picture instead of just a stupid standardized test score…

It was that combined with my history of bad math in comparison to my other scores.

but at least u had a great overall right?

math dragged me down by A LOT actually lol before my math my scores were: V:97 and R:92 then …mathhh :45 o.o = 86(overall)

u did really good rad my overall is 81%

thanks. you did well too. i forget r u int’l or domestic? my memory leads me to the former…

god rad, that sucks. exeter should have looked at the rest of your amazingness and not just pinpointed your math score. everyone here knows you’re an epic and stellar person anyway, and that you’ll definitely get into another school/succeed. bwoo ha has are made of awesomesauce!

bwoo ha ha!
