I was considering going to a SAT winter boot camp but am debating between Elite or Insight Education Prep in Cupertino. If anyone could share experiences with either place, especially Insight Education Prep, that would be great.

I don’t know how Elite compares to Insight Education Prep. I’ve taken Elite in summer 2015 for 8 weeks, plus an additional 6 weeks in the fall. Elite has really funny and engaging teachers (at least where I went to), and focuses a lot on practice test corrections and review. I find the test corrections the most useful since it sparks discussion about hard problems and familiarizes you with the problems that typically come up. Maybe contact Insight Education Prep and see if they do that. But the 6 additional weeks with 2 days a week weren’t very helpful since they were during the school year and I had 3 AP’s and 1 honors, so I couldn’t study SAT and do the hw they give. It depends on if you could balance school work with Elite work during the school weeks, but I would say the classes during winter break would be the most helpful. I went from a 1490 to 2010 if you’re wondering.

They had 4 classes, the three sections and an essay one. Check if the winter bootcamp has those as well. Yea they did and each class was an hour long. If you need extra help, ask the teacher to review your essay for your last practice test or go to office hours.
