New to this thread. My sister was accepted to UNC a few years ago but I have better stats than she did. She had a less competitive class though, as i have 23 (yes, 23) schoolmates from my school applying to UNC EA. I am beyond nervous.

theman44 - holy shiz! Are you in-state? D has one other classmate doing EA, few others reg. Snow day tomorrow!

woaww. chill outt yall.

but thanks everybody for keepin me up to date on **** though. much appreciated. ive been reading this like every day. UVAorBust, im a huge fan.

I share your pain theman44…Counting in my head, there are counts 14 people I KNOW of that have applied and should receive a decision on Friday.

It’s definitely a hot topic at school. Nobody WANTS to talk about it and the various possibilities and hypotheticals, obviously, but the suspense, the thrill, and the wait are torturing us all.

23 people is a lot? Lol I have roughly 50 applying EA from my school. Then again, we usually have 30 or so get in and 5 or so get in off the waitlist in RD…

Wow, I am out of state, and as far as I know I am the only one from my school who applied. Half the people haven’t even heard of Chapel Hill out here. I wish I had someone to wait with! At least you guys are all around, hahaha.

Golfer - are you instate or East Coast? We’re in midwest & I think the degree of difficulty to be accepted is too daunting for some…

Instate lol we’re a huge feeder to Chapel Hill

I only KNOW of one other person applying from my school and almost all of the girls I went to Tar Heel Girl’s State with are applying or have applied Again I wish everyone the best.

Edit: @golfer - My school is too, it’s an blessing and a curse all at once.

@boymom, im midwest also…i read earlier on this thread (i think) that its slightly easier for midwest than other regions since not as many apply, do you have any idea if this is true?

Tiny rural school pretty much in the middle of nowhere We had three or four apply EA including myself, and this is probably a record number for us lol. I am instate, but most of the kids in my school aren’t exactly…umm…the brightest crayons in the box :)

haha i’m from the east coast (out of state) and so far i only know 2 people that applied. normally we have about 10 that do though.

do you guys think they’ll post results earlier than friday?

Same. Only 4 people ahead of me applied. Most at my school aren’t that bright either

I’m from florida and 6 people applied from my school. I keep trying to do an important English assignment but keep getting distracted and constantly refreshing the UNC admissions blog and this site.

God don’t like ugly y’all Lol

It’s not nice to judge others mental capacity.

bear1993 - no idea if that’s true…my nephew was deferred a few years ago-never got in.
A friend of D’s got in last year, but don’t know her scores. You from Chicago area?

yeah that was a little mean… sorry… i didn’t mean that about the other two Twobittehz… i’m just freaking out a little and trying to reassure myself too much sometimes sometimes in desperate ways. They are great people and i shouldn’t put them down like that. I’ll be happy when all this is over haha, it gets me a little too worried.

I’ve gotta read Pride and Prejudice but I’m more worried about Acceptance and Aspirations…
…eww that was horribly corny lmao.
Does anyone have ideas about what time they decisions are coming out (i.e. is it beneficial to me to stay up into the wee hours of the morning tomorrow?)
