I just have a feeling that everyone is going to be like “I was accepted!” and I’ll be sitting here like …

I need to stop worrying, but I’ll be refreshing the blog all day as well

@carolinahopeful–OMG i just told my mom the same thing and her comforting words were “…well at least no one knows who you are!” I will be refreshing this thread all day and my computer is doing the same thing now when i go to the to-do-list…its just a blank white page =X!

I’m pretty sure that if your My UNC is’nt glitching, you’re in bad shape. Yes I’m pessimistic, but think about it this way. The only pages they have to change are the accepted students. The “to - do list” changes completely for them into what regular students have. On the other hand, if you are defered or denied, all they have to change is the words the the status box. We will all see if I’m right, but I’m pretty sure I am.

Does anyone with VERY good stats not have any problems loading their “my unc”?

UVAorBust I think you are wrong. They will upload the letter online no matter what your decision is. All the people on this thread are only creating more drama/anxiety by creating/spreading these rumors!

@UVAorBust

How do you know that the to-do list changes for admitted students?

And gocanes13, I second your post!

MetaKirby—worry not! Go ahead and read Pride and Prejudice. It is my favorite novel of all time. I have re-read it so many times I know most of the dialogue by heart, LOL. You will love it. And handsome Mr. Darcy will help you get your mind off the suspense of waiting for “Acceptance and Aspirations” (not corny at all, BTW). :)

Ewww, Pride and Prejudice. I had to read that and then Pride and Prejudice and Zombies… UHHHH!

UVA, I am 100% sure you are wrong (and, in this case, that is not a bad thing!). I guarantee you that many applicants who have had no trouble loading their pages for the past 12 hours will be admitted. If I am wrong, I will hold my nose and pull for UVA in a sporting event :-)

Lol, alright koho. :D

My stats are good (I’m in-state), but they’re not OUT OF THIS WORLD like some of yours. I didn’t have problems with the page when it first happened yesterday, but I had problems last night. After an hour or so it loaded normally (with nothing extra in the to-do list). It could be possible that you were sleeping when yours was having issues? (Mine was rather late in the night). And, regardless of Julie’s advice, I will be staying up until they come out…even if it’s at 3am. I just hope it isn’t all for nothing! I feel like today is the day since I won’t go to sleep before I find out. I feel slightly better that my page changed, even though it most likely means absolutely nothing. I just hope I don’t look back on this and feel stupid for wasting my time :/

UVAorBust, you are making yourself crazy! I’m enjoying reading all the drama, but as a parent, I do worry about you getting so stressed! ;)

I don’t think the issues with the portal have anything to do with admissions. S is a very strong, in-state applicant and he told me last night he has had no issues/changes in his page.

Good luck to all of you!

Lol, rom I’m possibly the most pessimistic person you could ever meet. I would rather get the dissapointment over now then later. I kind of wish I applied RD because my GPA is now much higher. Oh well, what can you do.

Well off to my Macro Midterm - GL to everyone.

As a mom of an only child, who has never been through this process before, my D and I have really enjoyed these posts. The thing I find so enjoyable is the prospective students’ high level of motivation and excitement about continuing their educations. You are all an inspiration to me.

This wait is grueling, but it is also fun… and I hope that once she’s all settled in a great school, my D and I will look back on all this nail-biting and hand-wringing that we’ve both been doing and have a good laugh at ourselves. In the meantime, I just keep refreshing the UNC Portal and hoping for the best. We’re all in this together!

It is all going to come down to April 1st for me. If I get denied from UVA…

@sborinst My mom was laughing at me too. She told me that I will laugh at myself a year from now, but I told her it was all that was important.

Good luck to everyone! This thread has been very entertaining to read. My daughter is UNC obsessed right now. I hope they post decisions at midnight UNC time, as we are in the Midwest, so it would be 11 pm. Despite Julie’s advice to go to sleep, that is easier said than done. Regardless of what happens, I assure you that you will all end up at very good schools and be happy next year. I have another daughter that is a college freshman this year, so we are going through this two years in a row. Very nervewracking but also very exciting and fun!

Interesting read in the dth effects y’all:

[The Daily Tar Heel :: UNC deposit rises to $250](http://www.dailytarheel.com/index.php/article/2011/01/unc_deposit_rises_to_250)

I envy you or anyone else who doesn’t live in the Eastern time zone. Decisions will be out around 7pm for those in Hawaii :)

Seeing as I normally go to bed around 7:30 (senior year is for making up for lost sleep, in my opinion), it’s going to be a rough night for me. I just can’t wait any longerrrr.
