Extra-Curricular Proof

Since I attended an international school for the first half of my high school career, my school never recorded my participation in the various extra-curricular activities I listed in my application; I do, however, have certificates that prove my participation. Should I inform Rice of this?

This is a fairly serious problem, in my opinion, since if the ECs are not noted on my transcript, Rice may not buy the fact that I participated in them!

you can, but more importantly write letters of praise to them and maybe fax them over to ensure they get it as soon as possible. I'm sure you can write another essay to them saying that going to school in a foreign nation has made you "more speacial" and how you plan to contribute your knowledge. Make sure you don't sound fake though

Well, I submitted an activity list with my application, which contained descriptions/praise for the activities in which I participated. My essay more-or-less reflects my diverse, international experience, and I am a candidate for transfer admissions. I just do not want them to think I am a liar! I have proof! Proof I tell ya!

No, they'll trust you unless you write something totally outlandish. If they want proof, they'll ask you. I didn't know that any school recorded ECs on transcripts actually. Mine certainly didn't.

Thanks! You took a load off my mind:)

I go to school in the US and have gotten informal transcripts for myself and there are no EC's listed on it, just grades and test scores.
