Extra curriculars?

I'm a freshman and I don't know if my extracurriculars are good enough.
I do newspaper, debate, cross country, track and field, science Olympiad, community service at the hospital, and choir.
Are these enough? Also, any advice on how to get leadership positions?

Good enough for what?

^I was thinking the same thing as I was reading it ha

Those are only good enough for state universities. I’m sorry. You need 10 more extracurriculars to get into Ivy Leagues.

10 is a pretty conservative number. Try 15.

Don’t listen to those guys. ^^

Anyway, do what you love. Challenge yourself. Do both at the same time.

I, for example, am pursuing my love of Biology by taking two credit-bearing courses. I’m also treasurer of Bio club. I’m in line for a competitive research internship and Bio club presidency.

My advice to you would be: find something you’re interested in and work your way up!

And don’t forget to give back to your community.

Take a page from Machiavelli. Strike fear in the hearts of your friends, shake a stranger’s hand while hiding a dagger behind your back, align yourself with trickery, manipulate your loved ones.

Seriously? Excel and prove yourself to others that you are worthy of becoming a leader. If your clubs are like my school, who always vote for the popular and unskilled for leadership positions, then convince them to support you by bribing them with chocolate.
