Extra Email

I have a question:
Is it a good idea to send a quick email to the universities I’ve applied to to mention anything I feel is worth mentioning that I’ve done after I already applied? Its nothing like marks in a course or something, but a project I have been working on.
If it would’ve been, is it too late already? Since decisions are coming out soon?
Or is it still a good idea?

It’s not too late. Keep it short, though.

I would advise not sending in any updates now, as it’s late in the process and the admissions officers are very busy at the moment. It depends on the nature of your project; if it’s significant (i.e. you’ve won an award or published in a scholarly journal), then send it in as a short message. If not, don’t.

If you have something to report like an award or high finish in a competition, send it along. It doesn’t matter that they are late in the cycle and busy – it can’t hurt as long as it is an actual accomplishment. And it doesn’t have to be an international level award. Be brief, and you need to have something specific and tangible to report.
