So I know a lot of schools will let you send in extra stuff to supplement your application. I already plan on submitting an art supplement (I draw!) to Wellesley, but I was thinking about what I could add to make my application stand out more.
I have a friend involved in English academia and we were recently discussing the representation of female characters in movies/video games/etc. Eventually my replies got so long and I had so many footnote references that it began to look like a feminist dissertation.
I know schools generally like it when you send in excerpts of creative writing, but do you think I could send in this "paper" to Wellesley?
I still need to polish it up and remove some profanity, but it'll be about 5 pages when I'm done. I don't really expect them to read it all, but I'll attach a paragraph outlining what it's about. I'm applying to major in Women's and Gender Studies, so it won't be unprecedented.

@waiting, Wellesley uses a website called Slideroom. There should be a link to it on the Common App (in the little list under Wellesley’s name where you can see the link to recommenders, the writing supplement, etc.). It’s 10 bucks for visual art and I think a little less for musical/theatre supplements.
Basically on Slideroom, you submit photos of your work (or if you’re a digital artist like me, the .pdf file) plus a short description.
