Hi everyone. I’m new here and am curious if anyone has any idea about American University’s attitude toward submitting an extra letter of recommendation. They only require one letter from a teacher and another from a guidance counselor, but I have another one written by my district’s U.S. Congressman from when I interned for him. Because my intended major is political science and the letter is coming from a somewhat well-known politician, I thought it would be a good addition to my app.
So, would adding one extra letter help, hurt, or not have any impact on my chances? Thanks in advance.
