Hey guys, I have received extra outside scholarships that can actually cover my loans for all four years (if my financial aid wont change too much)! However, i'm really worried that if my scholarships is sent directly to USC, USC will only use them to cover my first year loans and reduce my grants, which means i'll have to take the loans for the rest 3 years. Does anybody know if it's possible that i can just use my scholarships to cover all my loans for four years instead of getting my first year grants reduced and taking the loans for the other years in school?

Your best bet is to contact the scholarship grantor and ask them if it can be spread over four years. If they agree, ask them to send a letter with the scholarship specifying that the amount should be divided and used 1/4 per year for four years.

Where did you find the scholarships? Do you know if there are any more available?
