Question about USC's Scholarships

For the major 4 (Full tuition and Half Tuition), are they renewable for the full four years? So for example if I win one, do I have to apply for it again each year? Or does it apply for the four years of college.

Secondly, does anyone know the average SAT for the people that get these? I have a 1260 superscored, is it even worth applying? I have a 3.92 UW GPA and strong ap’s, honors, and extracurriculars. Thank you!

My son is a Trustee and it is for the full 4 years as long as he remains in good standing, academically. If you apply by Dec. 1 you are automatically put into scholarship consideration. As far as the numbers, it really depends on what school you are applying to – each school has the ability to award scholarships.

My son applied to USC yesterday but unfortunately teachers recommendations will be uploaded earliest 4 Dec. Can his application be disqualified for merit scholarships due to that reason?
And one more thing. As I got proof of financial support I can provide before 15 Jan. But if I’ll send it to USC end of Dec, can that hurt his chances for merit scholarships?

Last year there was almost 30K scholarship applicants and they gave out 1200. An educated guess for an unhooked winner would be 3.9+ unweighted GPA and 1540+ SAT.

@Alezzz the deadline of December 1 is for the student parts. Usually colleges are understanding if other parts come in a little later. A teacher rec being uploaded on December 4 should be okay. But for others reading this tell your recommenders that you have earlier deadlines so they can make them.

Average SAT for acceptance to USC (assuming University of Southern California) is 1340 so acceptance is a reach. Even if you are talking about University of South Carolina average SAT is 1275. If you are looking for merit you need to be top 10-25%. For top scholarships like these you need to be higher.

You won’t likely be accepted. And those who get merit will more likely have a 1480+
