<p>Hi everyone! I had a person in the community who can vouch for me (as opposed to a teacher) write me a third optional recommendation which I would like to now send to a few of my reach schools, most of which are on the common app. She gave me sealed official envelopes and I would like to keep them sealed (though, she did give me an extra copy to read myself; she did this because she thought it would be more official that way). </p>
<p>So, my question: Should I put these envelopes in a larger envelope and include a letter from me on top giving my ID number and other info and a quick paragraph saying basically that I requested an additional recommendation from a community leader who can vouch for me and to express my interest in the school (something more coherent of course ;}) ?</p>
