Extracurricular Activities?

I want to go to an Ivy League school, and I know a lot of extracurriculars are good to have. Last year I was in Mu Alpha Theta, but I had to miss a lot of meetings so I'm not sure if that actually counts for anything. I was also on the Math Team.

I'm already in Student Council, and I plan on staying in it for all of my high school career. I'm also enrolled in Newspaper, which is considered an extracurricular. However, I want to join more extracurriculars, but I can't decide which ones.

The ones that I'm interested in are:
Debate Team
Elementary Tutoring Program
Environmental Club
German/Latin Club
Math Team
Mu Alpha Theta

I am planning on being on the Math Team and being in Mu Alpha Theta again this year, and I will probably end up joining one of the foreign language clubs. I really want to do the tutoring program, and the Debate Team and Environmental Club seem interesting but time-consuming.

I will hopefully be getting a job soon, and I want to start doing a lot of volunteer work as well. With that being said, I'm not sure how much time that will allow me for extracurriculars.

The job I think is a necessity, my parents don't make that much money and I want to go on a volunteer trip to Africa sometime in the future (either next summer or the summer after that). The volunteer work isn't as important, I can easily do that purely in the summer or whenever I have time.

Does anyone have an advice?

Try some math competitions (e.g. AMC-AIME-USAMO).

It’s good to be in several EC’s, but they look more at how involved you are instead of simply being a member of 10 different clubs for one year each.

My advice is, try the EC’s that you believe you’ll enjoy.
