Extracurricular brief description

is this an OK response? it’s extremely preliminary and hasn’t been proof read whatsoever.
Any feedback is welcome!

I have always been driven by competitive spirit. I found my competitive outlet at the age of 9 in the sport of Lacrosse. Ever since I was little, being the standout scorer gave me the glory that i loved. It wasn’t until i was forced into playing Goalie that i really realized my full potential. Stopping the other teams progress was far more satisfying than scoring. Meticulously working on my form, mentality, and skill has made me a standout player on a national level. It has made me a leader in every aspect of my life, given me a solid work-ethic and enlightened me to a new perspective of competition.

Thousands of kids could say this about every sport out there. Say something unique - don’t use platitudes.

Thank you, that’s exactly what I was thinking too. I’ve erased this from common app, and I’m writing about a different extracurricular instead.
