Extracurricular review?

I'm a junior this year and while I know that this isn't ideal, I started a lot of extracurriculars this year. Most of these things are only available to juniors but I feel like it will look bad on my applications. Any advice?
This is what I have: (* next to what is only available beginning end of sophomore year/ junior year)

Freshman year:
-student council
-gymnastics
-service club
-(something else I'm forgetting)

Sophomore Year:
-student council
-gymnastics
-service club
-DECA
-student newspaper (top 10 nationally ranked)

Junior Year (this year)
-student council
-service club
-DECA
-debate
-student newspaper
-math team (maybe, haven't decided yet)
-peer tutor*

Senior Year (projected):
-student council
-service club
-DECA
-debate
-student newspaper (editor in chief)
-peer tutor

Other:
-Spanish National Honor Society*
-National Honor Society*
-took a class at a community college
-I'm in all honors and AP classes at a difficult/highly ranked public high school
-Peer jury
-election judge*
-PE leader*

They’re overall good. Hopefully the majority of them has to do with the major you want to pursue. Just do what you really want to do and everything will fall into your hands, in the end no one really cares what you do.

It’s fine. The reason people say to not add a ton of ECs later is so that it doesn’t look like you are padding your resume. Adding ECs that are only available starting junior year don’t fall under that category because its obvious that you aren’t using them to pad if you couldn’t do them before.

@guineagirl96‌ is it bad that I only started debate this year though? It’s my biggest regret not starting freshman year but my coach said that I have a good shot of going to state.

if its something you really want to do, do it! Don’t be worried by how colleges may or may not perceive it.

Ok thanks. I definitely am doing debate I just don’t know about math team :/
