Extracurriculars and Community Service

Hi,

I’m currently a sophomore in high school, so I still have a bit of time to build up my extracurriculars and work on community service.

I’ve been in the Model United Nations Clun since freshmen year. I’m currently secretary of said club. I was student council representative in freshmen year. I’ve won many awards in MUN competitions and it’s been mentioned that I’ll be nominated to be the president by senior year. I’m still debating what position to hold in senior year. Besides that option (presidency of the MUN club), I have considered the presidency of my senior class. Which of those would look better and be more valuable from an admissions point of view?

Also, I’m going considering participating in the elections for Junior year as Secretary of the Student Council. Would that look good or would it look better to be maybe a class officer (Vice President of my junior class) ?

Finally, community service! I’ve been thinking that I can either participate in any of the local organizations (helping out at a hospital, helping at the animal shelter, etc.) OR I could build my own organization. I’m really interested in helping children (providing school supplies or something of that nature) or homeless people (Giving clothes, food, etc.). I would be happy doing either of those. Which is the best, from an admissions perspective?

Thanks!
