Extracurriculars for College

Hello guys! I wasn’t sure which thread I could ask this in, so yeah…

Anyways, I have a bit of a problem/question. Right now I am in high school.
I really like economics, and have studied it quite a bit on my own. My school
only offers one class, and I cannot take it until 12th grade. As I was saying,
I really like economics and was hoping to attend some sort of competition.
By the way, I live in California, USA. I know there are economics competitions
like National Economics Challenge, but I was wondering if anyone knows
any individual competitions. Sadly, little to no people at my school share my
interest for economics. So far, most of the economics competitions I am aware
of are only for teams of multiple people. I want to look for competitions like
AIME for math or USACO for computer science.

If anybody has a good individual economics competition, please let me know.
BTW, I have tried starting a club to teach economics, but since there are no
classes at our school for economics until senior year, it has been to say the
least, an uphill battle. The competition can be a test, or an essay, just want
something that is not a team competition.
