Hi everyone,
I am a first year student at a Canadian university studying economics, and I would really like to transfer to Yale after my sophomore year. I have many reasons on why I want to transfer, so the essays shouldn’t be an issue. However, it is my extracurriculars that I am worried about. At my current university, undergraduates aren’t allowed to participate in research (a big reason why I want to transfer), and there aren’t many (if any) outside opportunities related to economics either. So is it still worth applying with my lack of ECs (I’m aware of the acceptance rate)? Are ECs even that important for transfers?
If you guys could suggest some extracurriculars that would be great. Any advice is much appreciated.
Thanks!
