I have a 2340 on my SAT, a 35 on my ACT, but I have a 1.43 GPA. But to redeem myself from that, I have around 3-4000 service hours and 9050 lab hours (yes over 9000 lol). Instead of going to school, I've been helping animals in shelters and curing cancer in my lab (yes I have my own lab, my dad's super rich lol).

I'm looking to apply to University of Medicine at Delaware (UMAD). I heard they had one of the best medicinal programs in the state, and I hope they overlook my absence in school (but it should be k, cause i was saving animals and curing cancer). What are my chances of getting into UMAD? I hope they're high.

oh, and I skipped 10th grade (not like advanced it, but literally just didnt show up, because as stated before, I was saving animals and curing cancer)

1.43 gpa… If i was college admittance guy i would think ud be too busy curing cancer to come to my schools classes too. Shouldve went to school AND cured cancer. Harvard status

But no really, i did cure cancer srs. I also helped save a species of cave rats (cause they were getting killed for their pinky toes (i herd the Cantonese love rat pinky toe soup, so that’s probably why they were getting hunted)) If that doesn’t count for something, idk what to do.

If UMAD doesnt respect what I do (cure cancer and save animals), then it’s not right for me. GPA? That’s just a number. That’s all it is. Actually I’m thinking of suing due to discrimination of GPA. They can’t do that. It’s against the fkn law.

But guys I can guarantee, by the end of this ordeal, UMAD will definitely accept me, or I’ll get really mad (I also have a degree in puns).

you spent 34.5% of your last four years either doing service or working in a lab.
considering you sleep around 40%… doesn’t leave you much life bro

PLease i really need help… I really want to get into UMAD but i dont want to go to a CC =( please PLEASE PLEASE Please tell me I will get in. I will give you inside information on how to cure cancer if you do.

Well, I think posting here is a waste of time… (and yes, I waste my time right now)… Stats look unbelievable… 9000 lab hours…
Saving animals —> too vague… Enangered species in Africa, white bears in the North Pole?
Come on lets get serious.
Curring Cancer—> a high school student in a home-lab??? with NO scientific knowledge (there are serious scientist out there that spended more than 20 years studing cancer… with real, well-equiped labs and most important…KNOWLEDGE and still they cannot cure cancer!!!)

You’re either a GENIUS (which I will admire)
OR a rich kid that desperately tries to find ways to explain his low gpa (which I hate)

Really I hope to get what you deserve, and without wanna be cynical I find hard to just believe … I save animals… I cure cancer
…and I could give you an insight of how to cure it if you tell me whether I could get into UMAD!!!

I would still like to know form the student that created that thread, how he defines “curing cancer”. Reading about it? volunteering to the local hospital? helping a people that suffers with cancer? OR does he actully means finding a treatment, like a medicine…

Be carefull, if you actually cured cancer you DONT APPLY TO COLLEGE…
APPLY FOR THE NOBEL PRIZE!!!
hahaha…
