<p>Unlikely you will be able to change your room preference. Formally, room change preferences are not honored until one week into the Fall Semester.</p>
<p>The best way is to do a manual switch (switch in dorm assignment) with someone, and then request him to be your roommate. Meaning you want someone's assignment, and he wants yours.</p>
<p>Or, continually bugging the housing office has worked for some. The best is face to face and phone.</p>
